Kathy Fletcher, delivers a quilt to 6-year-old Brandon Simpson as his father, Nicholas Simpson, looks on.   Fletcher is part of the Tulsa Quilts For Kids program, which recently delivered quilts to the Children’s Hospital at Saint Francis.

Tulsa Quilts for Kids - Blessing of the Quilts Event

"We recently were invited to attend a "blessing of the quilts" service at one of the local churches. Upon entering the sanctuary of the church the quilts were laid over the back of the church pews in a random display of colors, patterns and designs. It was truly breathtaking and in that moment of realization and accomplishment we all came together as one. During the service those in attendance were asked to touch the quilt in front of them, reflect on the moment and quietly pray for the unknown recipient. It was not only an empowering experience but also one that we will always cherish and hold close to our hearts.”
